November 1

Hi!! It sure has been nice to be home for a whole week! Nice to have a few of my daycare kids around too! I hope everyone had a great Halloween! Here is a photo of Raisa and Larson dressed up last night. Raisa was a fortune teller and Larson was an "invisible medival monster!"

Aren't they cute! Well, you can't really see Larson, since he's "invisible" and all! Today is All Saint's Day and Raisa got to pick a Saint and dress up for it for school. She chose Saint Kateri Tekakwitha. Here she is in that outfit today (thanks, Mom!).

Raisa will also be in the upcoming production of "A Christmas Carol" at Coffeyville Community College. Opening night is November 16 and I believe tickets will go on sale next week. Another show worth seeing!!
We will be leaving again in the morning for Houston. Will have my first round of chemo Friday. We are planning on coming back Saturday. They won't be able to put the port in until our December chemo session, so this one will done by IV. Thanks again for all the cards, prayers (and dinners!!) this week! I am so lucky to be surrounded by such great people!

ANGELS EXIST, but some times, since they don't all have wings, we call them FRIENDS.

Hey guys, it's Thursday night and we just got back to your house. Tonight was Donnie's party and it was fun, but it just didn't seem like a real Hoggatt party without you two. I'm so glad that you're getting this treatment thing on it's way. We all know you can do it. A hero is no braver than an ordinary woman, but she is braver five minutes longer. A lot of people would've just sat down and died, but not you. You took a chance, took a stand, and you believe in an endless hope rather than a hopeless end. And as for you, Kevin, any man can be a father. It takes someone special to be a dad. The father and husband you are being right now is teaching Raisa and Larson more than they could ever begin to understand. Kasey is lucky to have you standing beside her, not in front of or behind her. ;)
Hang in there guys, we're all thinking about you two.
Love,
Britt

Today is your first fight in the battle... hang tough! you can beat this monster. We're all right beside you; you can't see us but I know you can feel our presence. We love you!

Kasey, this is Carol Phillips, Hannah's "Nana". You have been in my thoughts and prayers lately. I am so impressed with your handling of this and also impressed with the many friends you have praying for you. I have had breast cancer twice, 13 years apart, but have not had to deal with the battle you are waging. I believe you and Kevin are strong and just know my prayers are added to the many that are out there. Love, Carol
